Trashy trend

What a strange, strange trend.

Something about it appeals to me--a kind of rebellion against the bullshit of spending a small fortune on something you'll wear once, but the practical (read: cheap!) side of me just cries at the destruction of something so pricey.

Because the beige Formica can't scream back...

During my daily lunchtime blog-grazing I came across this (fairly new) addition to the scores of "I Hate My Job And Here's Why" blogs out there: King of the Cubicle

With a pretty competent writer at the helm I hope it will lend some laughs and snorted iced coffee to my desk lunches, and hopefully it'll do the same for yawl's (especially wienerschnitzel and jervo, who I know harbor their own special brands of love for corporate culture.) If not, there are links to other cubicle rants ya might like...

US Bans Vegemite!!

Total BS, people.

Dammit, I KNEW we should have stocked up! I'm betting that ed_nimrod now regrets that 'travel size' tube he let founder in our cupboard 'til it congealed into Shoe Goo.

I will be the first to admit I am completely disgusted by Vegemite, but that's no reason to deprive innocent ex-pat Aussies of their fun!

Anyone for a petition? Who's with me?!

Edit your own Bollywood film!

Ok, as usual I am the caboose on the cool train, but here's a link to a moviemaking tool where you can edit together your own Bollywood movie - with subtitles!

Here's the main link, and here is my latest opus, with a nod to kilobravo's inspirado.

Enjoy!

'What Time of Day are You?"

Gotta love those geeky quizzes...

You Are Midnight

You are more than a little eccentric, and you're apt to keep very unusual habits.
Whether you're a nightowl, living in a commune, or taking a vow of silence - you like to experiment with your lifestyle.
Expressing your individuality is important to you, and you often lie awake in bed thinking about the world and your place in it.
You enjoy staying home, but that doesn't mean you're a hermit. You also appreciate quality time with family and close friends.
